Status Menu Settings

Show status in menu bar — Choose if the Little Snitch status icon shall be visible in your menu bar. This icon also lets you open the Little Snitch status menu for quick access to common controls and a more detailed view of the current network activity.

Icon — Lets you choose how Little Snitch displays network activity in the menu bar—either a compact chart showing the traffic amounts of the last five minutes, or a real-time traffic meter showing the current upload and download rates.

Numeric Data Rates — Controls whether your real-time upload and download speeds are displayed in the menu bar as numerical values.

Blocked Connections — Shows a flashing highlight in the menu bar icon whenever a network connection was blocked by Little Snitch.

Silent Mode — Shows whether Silent Mode is currently enabled. Silent Mode determines how Little Snitch handles new network connections—either automatically allowing or denying them without asking you.

Include local network traffic — If enabled, Little Snitch also displays local network traffic (connections to devices on your home or office network) in the menu bar.
