Little Snitch for Linux Help

Redistributions and Package Maintainers

Little Snitch for Linux may be redistributed by package maintainers. The eBPF program and the web UI are licensed under the GPLv2; the daemon is proprietary but free to use and redistribute.

For users

If you want truly automatic updates, install Little Snitch from a trustworthy redistribution source, for example your distribution's repository, once one carries it. Updates are then handled by your distribution's package manager like for any other package.

Known trustworthy sources will be listed here:

If you know a trustworthy source that is not yet listed, please report it to us.

For package maintainers

Third-party repositories usually handle software updates themselves. Little Snitch's built in update notification can conflict with that, so its behavior is fully customizable through software_update.toml in the override configuration directory (see Advanced Configuration):

See Software Updates for details on what the check does and what data the download link contains.
